AIADR & UNGCMYB Legal Sustainability Practitioner Training Course (ESG & The Law)
Lead Trainer : Shannon Rajan is a disputes partner in the Infrastructure, Construction and Engineering practice and co-heads the Occupational, Safety and Health practice.
His construction practice has evolved to include key sectors in environmental and occupational, health and safety matters (“ESH”). He advises domestic and multi-national corporations on all aspects of ESH compliance and dealings with/investigations by the Department of Environment and Department of Occupational Safety and Health. He has been involved in defending complex ESH litigation and enforcement actions in civil and criminal courts and statutory appeals board. He has vast experience in crisis management and dealing with the immediate aftermath of incidents involving fatalities, serious personal injuries, or significant environmental damage.
Trainer : Prof. Dr. Harald Sippel, MBA Harald is the Executive Director of ESG in Malaysia, a consulting boutique firm specialized in providing legal advice to companies on ESG matters, with a particular focus on compliance in supply chains.
Harald regularly guides Malaysian companies on the legal requirements of European Union law, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). This allows his clients to remain “market-fit” and continue exporting to the European Union, as well
as generally taking part in supply chains of European companies.
Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Austria (European Union), Harald is also a Visiting Professor at Keio University (Tokyo, Japan) and an Adjunct Professor at Universitas Padjadjaran (Bandung, Indonesia). He holds degrees in law and business, as well as certificates in ESG factors, risk management and supply chain matters from universities in Austria, Korea, the UK and the USA.
Trainer : Sudarsan Chandra Sekharan is a dedicated sustainability trainer with a passion for equipping individuals and organizations with the knowledge and skills needed to create a positive impact on the environment and society. With a deep understanding of sustainability principles and practices, Sudarsan has become a trusted resource for guiding professionals towards adopting sustainable practices in their personal and professional lives. He has conducted a multitude of training courses, ranging from foundational programmes to niche subjects, targeting from executive to C-suite level. To date, he has trained approximately 1200 participants from various industries such as semiconductor, oil and gas, manufacturing, heavy industries, and renewable energy on sustainability related topics.
