In the last episode of Settling Disputes in Construction Industry: A Practical Guide to Mediation by AIADR, we have law students from ALSA UKM, Vanusya A/P Joothymani, Paavana Pooja Rajasegaran, Siti Munirah Edward, Rabiatul Nur Hidayati Jalaludin and Nur Aliya Zamimi to showcase how Mediation works in construction disputes. This mediation role play is the sequel of the negotiation role play episode on the construction dispute faced by CMS Building and Overview Construction. This will showcase the difference between negotiation and mediation and how mediation can help to resolve construction disputes. Mediation, being the most prevalent form of ADR is one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways of resolving a disagreement. We believe by adopting Mediation, difficulties faced by contractors due to the Covid-19 pandemic recently could be resolved amicably.
