Lead Trainer : Shannon Rajan is a disputes partner in the Infrastructure, Construction and Engineering practice and co-heads the Occupational, Safety and Health practice.
His construction practice has evolved to include key sectors in environmental and occupational, health and safety matters (“ESH”). He advises domestic and multi-national corporations on all aspects of ESH compliance and dealings with/investigations by the Department of Environment and Department of Occupational Safety and Health. He has been involved in defending complex ESH litigation and enforcement actions in civil and criminal courts and statutory appeals board. He has vast experience in crisis management and dealing with the immediate aftermath of incidents involving fatalities, serious personal injuries, or significant environmental damage.
Trainer: N.G. Vinod is a partner with the firm’s Construction, Insurance and Environmental, Social Governance (ESG) due Diligence. He has over a decade of experience as a Litigator, Arbitrator, and Adjudicator. Vinod excels in guiding clients through complex legal disputes, consistently achieving optimal resolutions.
N.G.Vinod specializes in Environmental, Construction, and Insurance Laws. He is a committee member for LawAsia Environmental Law. N.G.Vinod is also recognized as a prominent speaker at international law conferences, where he specializes in topics related to Environmental and Construction Laws.
The Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution & UN Global Compact Malaysia & Brunei Academy are collaborating to bring forth a training course with the aim of training legal professionals to become proficient and qualified in sustainability matters in particular ESG and the law. The course will cover the Implementation of ESG, its legal requirements and any challenges that it may pose.
